Sweet - but light - malt base. Aromatic and flowery hops were nice. Mild bitterness in the clean and dry finish. Not overwhelming with flavor, but easy to drink. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2006 LIght and citrusy with a light malty aroma, with some herbal hop grassiness. Just a hint of diacetyl is present, butterscotch biscuity maltiness, a decent body, and is a litttle bigger for the style, clean and easy to drink. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2005 (Draft: Bend Brewing Company in Bend, OR) Another easy drinker from Bend Brewing, the flavor is pretty light, but the sweet, grainy malts are well balanced by gentle, pleasant hops. The beer finishes with just a touch of bitterness. The sweet nose is made more interesting by a mild hop spiciness. Very light body, a bit watery, but with a slight crispness in the finish. Light golden in color, clear, with many slowly rising carbonation bubbles showing through nicely. Whitish head pours quite large, and retention and ringed lacing are excellent. It’s a bit less flavorful than I like in my golden ales, but the gentle bitterness makes this a decent offering. Crit (2409), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

Oh well. Not sure it’s an APA either as I got German hops, but whatever. German hops, caramel, bread. Orangish color with a relatively heavy body for a golden ale, but whatever. One of those borderline styling beers.
