harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Mar 21, 2006 Clear garnet appearance, small fizzy head. Sweet caramel maltiness with some nice chocolate flavors lingering in the back palate. A little too much carbonation, but has a great lingering finish. Zesty and easy to drink. 11026 (1886), USA Nov 5, 2005 Cask at Horsebrass via gravity pour. Ruby red color with a light tan head. Peaty/smokey presence in aroma and lots of esters, very fruity. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is richly malted, minimal hop presence. Well done. DA (2261), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Jun 25, 2005 This was a kinda scary brew, always keeping you on your toes waiting for the big alcohol burn that you get when you drink scotch. This beer tastes so close to scotch whisky that I was even to scared to take big sips. Pours a copper/amber with a small white head. Very malty peaty nose and lots of whiskyness. Very nice beer, but maybe better for a really cold winter day.
