MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Sep 17, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a massive beige foamy head. Dusty, slightly sweet toasty nose with a restrained fruit- and wheat-character, but quite strong phenolic clovy notes. Light sweet and slightly sour flavour, light bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Moderately toasty malty taste, slightly wheaty and fruity; fizzy and clovy finish. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Sep 15, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Hazy amber coloured, medium-sized fluffy off-white head, slowly diminishing, sourish-wheaty and shy dark-malty nose - with the faintest touch of roasted malt; moderate sweetish flavour, light bodied; becomes a bit more aromatic in the sourish, malty and roast-malty finish. Not really bland, but a bit boring..........
