notalush (2128), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 The batch served at the brewpub on 8/21/08 stated 7% abv - perhaps a slight recipe change? - anyway, this was another great beer from them - hazy golden pour, with a soapy, thick head - lovely aroma of lavender-steeped honey, wildflowers, a bit of spices - the flavor starts honey sweet, but on the whole it is not as sweet as the aroma suggests - a lot of herbal character and subtle peppery spice cut off the sweetness - finishes refreshing, and a bit hoppy and crisp - nice. TaktikMTL (2042), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Jan 15, 2007 En fût. (Rating #835) tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 28, 2006 Hops are pungent and spicy in the aroma along with some tart fruit character. Clear golden coloured body is topped by a large white head that lasts throughout and laces the sides of the glass. Biscuity and toasty malt flavours show nicely beneath the dominant spicy, floral, perfumey hops with decent bitterness. Light medium body is quite dry and well-attenuated with strong carbonation that engages the tongue. Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Quevillon (1337), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Jul 1, 2006 Bu sur place, 20 oz. Belle couleur blonde, petit collet. Petit arome de malte légèrement épicé. Bon petit goût de malte riche, faiblement amère. Lubiere (3410), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 18, 2006 Golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Pleasant aroma of perfumey malt, with light orange and fruity esters, and some light fragrant hopsé In mouth, a crisp sweetish malt, crisp german hops, some caramel notes. Reminiscent of fresh De Koninck. On tap, June 17, 2006.
