<b>In short: </b>A dry toasted with a wide flavour spectrum (as long as it is a dry/toasted flavour)<br />
<b>How: </b>Tap at brewpub, freshly put on tap, first batch ever<br />
<b>The look: </b>Partly cloudy light-brown copper body topped by a small beige head<br />
<b>In long: </b>Nose is toasted. Taste is very dry with notes of dry wood bordering oak, toasted crusty bread, roasted nuts, rust (!), dried fruits (none specific), peanuts shell, and even more dry wood like chewing on an old attic piece of furniture. This is a tasty dry brew that makes a lasting impression, I remember it as if I had it yesterday, which incidentally is exactly when I had it.

Sep 4, 2008 Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, dégusté au festival Bières et Saveurs 2008 (Chambly, QC). Arôme: Odeur de seigle avec une pointe d’herbes. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de céréale rôties avec une pointe d’herbes. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de thym en arrière goût. (Rating #1919)

Aug 24, 2008 Cloudy amber ale, with a clingy lace - an interesting aroma of toasted grains (rye?), with subtle spices - very creamy mouthfeel - a lot of bittering agents in the flavor that don’t appear to be hops (yarrow, juniper) - full-bodied for the style - grainy and bready (toast) - a little tart and crisp at the end - nice.

Darker than their previous takes on the style, this is apparently brewed by the new assistant brewer.
<br />
<b>I like:</b>
Different flavours than their previous juicy saisons. Drier as well. Appealing toasty, almost earthy nuances complement the tropical, citrusy hoppiness. Fairly high bitterness.
<br />
<b>I dislike:</b>
Less estery and powerful in the aroma department than their other Saisons. The head does not last too long. Not very refreshing.
