rederic (1512), montréal, Quebec, Canada Mar 18, 2008 Cloudy orange-amber hue, with a white head, leaving lacing, nice yeasty, fruity honeyed nose, with a sweet candyish sugar, pale malt accent, with a faint candied orange, lemon peel note, and a subtle floral hop citrusy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, honeyish pale malt character, with a zesty, citrusy, flowery hop leafiniess accent, with a sweet lemonade fruitiness, leading towards a malty, faint hop bitterness finish.

How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is all about fruity yeast esters. Taste is very fruity and very sweet. Lots of sweet apricots, candied oranges, candi sugar, citrus and honey. Texture is slightly sticky. Hops keep a low profile. Not much bitterness or dryness to balance this extra sweet fruity body. A single glass was hard to finish. First Benelux beer I didn’t care for in a while. Even Babe Ruth doesn’t didn’t hit a home-run on every pitches, especially when it was him the pitcher.
