Svesse (1676), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 (Draught at Ferdinanda, Prague, 23 July 2008) Golden yellow colour with brief, frothy, white head. Malty, grassy nose with notes of toffee. Malty, grassy taste with toffee, decent malt sweetness and a short, grassy finish. Clean and fresh, moderate bitterness. Ok and drinkable, but hardly exciting. thewolf (3607), Kolding, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Tap @ Ferdinanda, Prague.
Pours golden with a coppery slant to it. A fine, medium, creamy, white head on top. Good duration. Aroma is doughy, yeast, sweet brewing cereal and some slight butter. A bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is actually very metallic. Some malty sweetness and a teaspoon of grassy hops will not help disguise the metallic off-flavours. oh6gdx (5857), Vaasa, Finland Jul 3, 2008 Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some hops and metal. Flavour is much the same in a quite stingy way. Some slight hayish and grainy notes too. Quack-Duck (1698), Bodensee, Germany Oct 29, 2007 on tap at Ferdinanda in Prague. Golden yellow, creamy head. Fruity and malty aroma. Full-bodied with intensive malty flavours, slightly sweet, solid hoppy background. Very pleasant 11°, much much better than expected. gnoff (2567), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 6, 2007 Updated: Jul 6, 2008First rating (Draught at Ferdinanda, Praha) Clear golden color, white head.
