Fin (2453), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jan 8, 2008 Cask at the Woolpack, Banbury, Oxon, 07-01-08 Light golden in colour, citrusy hops on the nose but otherwise the aroma is quite light. Tasted great, zappy and zingy (I like the letter Z) real grapefruit rush but when this lingers it is more pithy grapefruit, very nice. imdownthepub (4249), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jan 7, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Pale straw with white head. Crisp and hoppy Golden Ale, lots of citric lemon and grapefruit notes on a delicate, bready, malty base. Good and refreshing right the way through, Everyone enjoyed this one. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2007 Headless light golden ale. Pretty bready attack, in fact leaving, in mouth, a sweetish, almost potato-like film. Lemony, soft hops never quite strike a balance. Quite a fresh ale really and kinda original in its malt deployment, but sub-par and not very balanced. chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Aug 31, 2007 Cask (handpump) at the Market Porter, Southwark. Very pale straw colour. Clean and quite dry, with some spicy herbal hops character on the palate. But the wasn’t a lot of depth, the aroma was very understated and the whole effect seemed a little underpowered to me. Acceptable but uninspiring.
oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Aug 19, 2007 Cask@Market Porter. Yellowih golden colour with small bubbly white head. Cooked vegetables, blue cheese and grass in aroma. Flavour is herbal, hoppy and leaving a rather dry grassy/vegetably aftertaste.
