Cask in the three judges. Aroma is roasty and chocolate malts, dark fruits and notes of tartness. Taste is similar nicely drinkable with the chocolate malt sweet and the tartness balancing. Vry nice mild.

Cask conditioned at The Dun Cow, Hornton, Oxon. Black with white head. Rich, full bodied mild, bordering on a stout, but without the intensity. A little coffee husk in the flavour and a hoppy bitterness and a touch of tartness. Overall quite a decent beer.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Out Of The Vaults, Leicester. A black beer with a loose white head. The aroma is sweetish with berry fruits. There is hints if coffee and lactose in the flavour together with more fruitiness. An oddish tasting mild. but still nice enough

Cask Handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Almost black with a short foamy head. Roasted chocolate aromas, with a hint of toffee in the mouth and a slightly odd sterile taste in the aftertaste. Another slightly thin dark mild.
