Copper mid brown coloured and strong in alcohol. Fruity and malt flavours. Slightly bitter hop finish. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Dec 21, 2003 Updated: Jan 15, 2004Cask at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Excellent winter brew, bursting with flavour. This is a fragrant and fruity brew, that packs an initially tropical punch, with grapefuit, peach, and pineapple notes jostling on your tongue. Further into your mouth, it settles down slightly, becoming plainer, dryer, with some prickling alcohol notes. Very good stuff.
