Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Holds the crown as The Beowulf Brewing Company's signature ale. It was the first beer produced in 1996. "Heroes" is nutty, golden and hoppy with a slight hint of sweetness.

Gravity cask at Maidstone BF. Pale gold, very hoppy with citrus flavours. However this is a bit metallic and the lemon fruit is a bit soapy. Lets it down

Nov, 2004. Rising Sun, Sevenoaks. Pale bitter with a dusty finish. Some sharp notes indicating that this is not in ideal condition. Shame, because the beers in this pub are usually excellent. [2.7]
Sept, 2005. Maidstone Beer Festival. Butterscotch. Almost, and nearly and then maybe diacetyl. A little lemon soapy. Has taste like an uncomfortable Hallertau and Goldings mix. Not my thing really. [2.1]

Hand pump at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Pleasant looking orange/copper bitter, with a nice fruity aroma. Lots going on here - orange and floral notes, some hops towards the finish and a nice lingering bitterness. Not overpowering, but light, soft and refreshing.
