Commercial Description:

English: Christmas seasonal. Jule Avec may be enjoyed on its own or as a dessert beer. The sweetness makes it an excellent accompaniment with nuts and cookies, and it may be served in a large cognac snifter. Serving temperature 10 degrees C.

Editors note: Intended to have a final ABV of 12%, but stopped at 7.5%. The brewery will make a new attempt at a 12% brew next year.]

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Slightly hazy reddish brown with a dense beige head leaving laces. Fat aroma of burned caramel and dried fruit. Quite full-bodied with lightly burned malt and caramel combined with a shot of port. Some alcohol showing in the finish. Almost an Old Ale. Excellent! 220608

Bottle@Home. Thanks Yngwie! Aroma of licorice, plum and a little lactic. Ruby color, light brown head, very nice lace. Sweet, very bitter, burnt sugar start, licorice, lightly spiced, hints of chocolate and coffee. Soft and sticky mouthfeel. Flavorful, well drinkable, seems more alcoholic than 7.5% ABV.

33 cL bottle. Pours dense amber and golden with a lacing tan head. Roasted and dark caramel malt aroma. Flavour is dark roasted malt with a breadish touch and a liqourice note. Smooth chocolate and roasted malt finish.

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with odd notes of spices, alcohol, and raisiins, but not bad. The flavor is sweet with notes of brown sugar, alcohol, metal from the alcohol, and over ripe fruits.
