yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 14, 2008 Bottle. It pours a clear golden body under a small white head. Heavy on heather honey in the aroma, with some malt and a floral touch. I’m quite fond of heather honey, but I find the level in the aroma of this beer to be too high, it’s more or less hiding it’s beery qualities. The same problem is present in the flavor, but not to the same level. There’s some more malt detected, and it has a decent bitterness. Else it’s honey and a little floral touch, as well as sweetness. Medium body. Sweet, honeyish finish. I’m not very impressed with this one, but at least it’s drinkable, and it’s a bold move from the brewery. Distinct honey aroma - more than in any mead I’ve had! Medium-bodied with sweetish malt and distinct and very sweet honey notes with a floral touch. No bitterness. 220608 yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 50 cL bottle, 0669. Pours slight cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Mild floral and honey aroma. Clear light yellow color with a small, virtually none appearance, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is honey, heather honey, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (120408) Ole_R (1167), Oslo, Norway May 3, 2008 Bottle kindly provided by Sigmund. A thin off-white foamy head upon a foggy dark golden colored body. Pleasant and distinct aroma from the honey. Notes of earthy hops and tobacco(!). Taste is very honey-ish, almost like drinking mead. Light bittering hops and some herbal notes is almost balancing the sweetness. Light sugary, chewy mouthfeel. Honey finish.
