Pours a wonderful, clear, deep amber with a medium, creamy off white head. Good duration. Aroma is caramel, lightly roasted and good pine hoppiness. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, very malty at first, lots of caramel, a touch of chocolate and a very roasted finish. On top of that, there is lots of dryish hops, mostly pine. Super drinkable. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Dark chestnut pour. Clear off-white head. Interesting pumpernickel nose and this is a flavour I like a lot. Whole grain bread can also be deciphered. Its weakness is that there is not much else than this bready malts. In mouth, where you’d expect a conclusion of hops, you are greeted farewell by a metallic sheet. Thin and simplistic. FrankJohansen (3369), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark
