larsga (2448), Oslo, Norway Dec 16, 2006 Big offwhite creamy head. Dark red translucent body. Faint, sweet caramelly aroma with faint hop background. Taste is smoky, sweetish caramel malts with some roastiness. Bitter, smoky finish with grassy hop notes. It’s a bit dry and harsh, but not bad. (0.33l bottle.) MesandSim (4623), Highgate, Greater London, England Jan 28, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08
Red brown colour with a thin off white head. Lots of fruity malt, a pleasant earthiness and some candy floss sweetness. Some raisins too. A little on the thin side but coupled with the reasonably restrained abv it makes it very drinkable. Deep copper brown colour, darker than most Norwegian "klasse D" grocery store juleøl (Christmas/Yule beers), moderate head. Malty aroma. Clean malty flavour, not too sweet, thin mouthfeel as expected, not very complex. OKish. Gr0ve (1123), Oslo, Norway Mar 27, 2008 330 ml bottle. Reddish dark brown colour. Tall creamy light beige head that clings to the glass. Clear. Appley münchenermalt aroma. High carbonation level. Crisp mouthfeel. Hints of burnt caramel flavours. Gentle oily texture. Nice malty body for a beer this low in alcohol. Neutral hops all over, but towards the end there is a lingering clean hop bitterness. Decent.
