Commercial Description:
Already in the 1920s Ulrich Zimmermann, often simply called "Bräumeister", used to brew a "Pilsner" style beer. After more than 60 years since we reclaim our grandfather’s tradition. With selected Tettnanger aromatic hops and "Pilsner brewing malt" we brewed a premium Pils. In honor of our grandfather we call it "Bräumeister Pils".

bottle. Clear golden yellow, hoppy nose. Floral hops dominate the flavour. Medium-bodied, solid malty base, pleasant mouthfeel. A clean and crisp Pilsener.

Bottle (Dank an Stefan!):Pale golden to golden, mid-sized white frothy head; shy pale-malt with distinctive grassy hops in the nose; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; short dry bitter finish. Not bad, but not aromatic.......

straw coloured with vanilla and hazelnut aromas, light to medium body with underlying herbal hop aromas (Tettnanger) and an intense hoppyness in the aftertaste.

Draught at Grüner Baum, Biberach an der Riß, Baden-Württemberg. Listed as Grüner Baum Pils in the menu. We thought that Grüner Baum brewed the beer themselves, but when we asked the patron about it, he told us that they had recently ceased brewing and now sold beers from Berg Brauerei under their own name. I do not know what the old homebrewed Grüner Baum beers tasted like and I do not care, because this is one of the best pilsener I have ever tasted. Deep golden coloured. Very hoppy aroma and very hoppy flavour, but all the way through on a very solid malty background. Very bitter and dry finish. Extremely refreshing and tasty. Full bodied and perfectly balanced.
