omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 30, 2008 Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear brownish orange, brief head. Roasty lightly dusty nose with a whiff of greeen apples. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel and fairlylight body. Salty and lightly fruity with buttery notes that grows more evident in the finish. The bitterness is oncreeping but not too powerful. A well drinkable yet somewhat unusual German beer. TaxiDriver (547), Stadland, Germany Sep 13, 2008 Bottle. Strong smell of malt, light hoppy, medium sweet. Frothy white head, rather fast disappearing; a dark brown-orange body. Quite bitter taste with a long duration. The texture is dry and medium bitter with a soft carbonation. A good bitter one. Quack-Duck (1978), Bodensee, Germany Jan 26, 2008 bottle. Clear amber colour, large head. Sweet and malty with hints of roasted malt and caramel. Well-balanced, bitter-sweet with a pleasant mouthfeel. MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Nov 12, 2007 (33cl swing top bottle, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Clear, amber colour with a thick and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet toast-malty nose with butterscotch, toffee, a light but spicy hops in the background and a faint fruitiness. Bitter-sweet flavour, slim bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty, subtle fruity taste with toffee; moderately dry and slim malty finish with shy herbal hoppy notes and a shy fruity note in the aftertaste. Clean, mild and pretty drinkable. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Nov 9, 2007 Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden to light amber coloured, smaller, slowly diminishing off-white head, sticking to the glass, shy sweet-malty, caramelly nose with a discreet fruitiness and the faintest touch of toasted malt; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied for a beer of 5.0% ABV; sweetish-malty finish with traces of toffees and a very mild bitter aftertaste. Clean and unspectacular.......
