Light, clear gold. White soapy head with short retention. Light malt aroma. Mostly sweet malt. Quite light and watery. Similar to a macrolager - not similar to a pilsner. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Just a little grainy, but nice. Actually one of Berghoff’s better beers. lilsumsum (16), Chicago (S. Side), Illinois, USA

Medium sweet small bitter flavor with a short finish. shorn (6), USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2005 While living in Wisconsin, this was the best drinking beer for $4.99 a six, and still I find few examples of a decent beer for a decent price. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Golden-copper colored with a small, off-white head. (Whoops... no head now.) Aromas were sweet breads with a touch of caramel and mild, herbal hops. Flavor was very lightly bittersweet throughout. Light fare... unassuming... a hot-weather quencher.

Gold, flat, and headless, this has a very faint malt aroma with a suggestion of hops. The flavor is 95% sweet, grainy malts and a pinch of hops. There’s a sweet, grainy, hopless finsh. So, how is this a pils?
