A touch of bitterness in the finish but with an odd array of off dirty off-notes as well. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 16, 2005 Very light gold with fast moving bubbles in my lager glass. A little wisp of a head at the top. Strong vegetable aroma of carrots and celery. Hints of earthy hops. The taste is thin and metallic. Notes of carrots and even turnips are here. A decent pilsener, but a little thin and watery, even for the style. GrainBeltGuzzler (249), Goodhue, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2004 clear golden sort of color, not much of an aroma, flavor is malty/watery, a pils that is a shade above average, much more malt than hop, typical to midwest, gotta love it whiterabbit81 (244), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 24, 2004 Not amazing. MIldy flavorful with a rather odd taste (which all berghoff products have). Probably the worst of berghoff’s so-so line of offerings. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA

Mild malty aroma, slight caramel and spice. Light to medium bodied, slightly sweet malty flavor, a hint of fruitiness with a faint hoppy note in the finish. Nice beer, easy drinking, but it’s curious that they would label this a pils as the similar Berghoff Original Lager is considerably hoppier-I think even Huber Premium may be hoppier. Yea whatever. presario (3001), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Tangily tart and sweet, but exceptionally crisp with a hint of lemon, but primarily a malty cerealy beer. cwhalen (14), Champaign, USA
