Commercial Description:

Very crisp and refreshing beer. Misses a little something here and there that stops it from being a really good pilsner, but nonetheless, it’s pretty decent. In all honesty the old Falstaff beer is a better Pilsner, and considerably cheaper, it also doesn’t have quite as salty a finish as this Berghoff does. Regardless, this is a fine beer that any fan of pilsners would enjoy.

Medium gold color with a fair head and sparse lacing. Mild malty aroma, slight caramel and spice. Light to medium bodied, slightly sweet malty flavor, a hint of fruitiness with a faint hoppy note in the finish. Nice beer, easy drinking, but it’s curious that they would label this a pils as the similar Berghoff Original Lager is considerably hoppier-I think even Huber Premium may be hoppier. Yea whatever.

This is a pretty decent pilsener, though it pours suprisingly with almost no head. Just a little grainy, but nice. Actually one of Berghoff’s better beers.

Golden and still with a thin veil. Malty sugar aroma. Tangily tart and sweet, but exceptionally crisp with a hint of lemon, but primarily a malty cerealy beer.

Golden Color, white head, not very much to this beer by way of flavor, creamy texture. better than the crap shoveled out by Anheiser and Miller.

This non-descript little pils from the folks at Minhas have made a very smooth, drinkable beer that challenges for more reknown pils around the world. Once again, the elitest reviewers here have done a disservice in giving this such a low rating. A very drinkable beer. Try it yourself.
