Commercial Description:
Introduced in October of 1989, the bock style far exceeded original expectations. This micro-styled bock beer has a rich and full-bodied flavor while being creamy on the palate. The nose yields a fresh, malty aroma with a hint of caramel sweetness. Hop bitterness and aftertaste balance the sweetness and maltiness. Berghoff Bock is made with Brewer's Two-Row Malt, Carapils Malt, Caramel Malt, Black Malt and domestic hops.

Although the aroma of this brew is interesting, it's taste is a tad thin for a true bock. Still, it's tasty, affordable, and miles beyong most macro-brewed beers... I like it!

This brew pours a medium head of finely sized mostly lasting very light brown colored bubbles that leave behind a poor lacing and a transparent dark brown colored carbonated bosy. The aroma is a very nice caramel malt one and the mouthfeel is smooth with a slight tingly "Brown" taste to its finish. The flavor is respectable but somewhat thin and needs more of what it already has just stronger. There are notes of caramel, malt, and slight hints of dark chocolate and mollasses. Still, a very nice brew.

I was very impressed by this beer. The price was just right as far as I'm concerned. A good bock to try even when it's still hot outside.

Dark, with a caramel aroma and hoppy background. Medium body, sweet and malty with a smooth dry finish. Close cousin to Huber bock, and I like that one too.

A decent looking brew with a dark carmel color and large, quickly fading tan head. The aroma is lightly malty, and smells quite "clean." However, not really much to the aroma...it's kinda thin. The flavor is better off than the aroma, and is nice in the aftertaste, if thin while in the mouth. A decent brew, but far from a great one.

Dark brown color. Nice aroma with some carmel and choclates. Taste was smooth but lacking in general.

Mohagany color with a small bubbled light tan lid. Dark caramel and toffee aromas along with a touch of resin. Near butterscotch flavors. Fizzy on the feel. Another american bock.

Toasted grainy aroma, caramel and tofee. Sweet toasted malt caramel flavor with some clove and mint flavor. Fruity, winey, chocolaty in the aftertaste.
