bottle. a reddish amber pour with a quickly disappearing off white head. commercial description is accurate. slightly malty with a hint of caramel but IMO it needs a little more hop bitterness to balance it out. not bad, I enjoyed it, was just hoping for a little more.

On tap at the brewery. 4th of 5 of my samples. Red in color, not much of a head. I mainly remember the metallic-caramel flavor with the watery texture.

Has a crisp, fruity aroma. Perhaps a combination of grapefruit, grapes, and and lemon. Very tastey though. Flavor is suprising considering the fruity aroma. Tastes very light, malty, and medium. The aftertaste quickly fades from malt to water, which isn’t a bad thing, gives you a taste in your mouth that craves another sip.

Light copper in appearance, thin head diminishes quickly. Almost no lacing. Smells of hops, white wine. Sweet, thin, not as sticky as most ales. It’s a fairly drinkable beer, goes down easy.

Deep shiney ruby red with barely any fizzy off-white head. Aroma is sweet white wine and malt with slight dry hop notes. Overly sweet and "palatable" with a dirty cardboard finish. Made for wannabees.

I’m about middle of the road on this one. It had a decent flavor. Not to bad, but not to great. Kind of one of those take it or leave it deals. Not an example of a good red in my book. Red color, hint of malt, and alcohol about sums it up.

I bought, I drank and I said "what the f@#k . Red ale my ass, this is a lager as the previous rater says. I think this one is to yellow to be red, and the head was minimal, smell was sweet, with the first taste sickenly sweet. I would not recommend this one and can’t find enough reasons to finish the sixer.

APA my ass! I bet this shit is actually lagered (not that that’s a bad thing) as it certainly has a very lager-esque character. Nose is malty sweet with a floral hop hint. Brownish amber color with a diminishing but pleasant foamy head. One of the moer drinkable Berghoff beers but certainly not world class by a big stretch. Medium bodied with low carbonation, slight sweet with a notable lack of bitterness. Forgetable.
