(Tap) Pours a copper color with little head. Light sweet aroma. Taste of sweet caramel, but nothing to balance it at all. Sweet finish. Also some metallic and off-notes in the aftertaste. I wouldn’t really classify this as an APA. Oh well, what else would you expect for $2/pint in downtown Chicago?

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a medium brownish color. Acidic aroma that is somewhat caramelized. Slightly malty flavor with a little bit of hop bitterness. Not a good APA.

Very light ,quickly disappearing caramel aroma, nice kiss of sweet caramel with a little tang and a mild bitter finish on the swallow, this is for the first sip only,it then flattens out quickly and becomes a brew of non -contemplation

Thanks to brewblackhole for this one. Pours a nice copper color.Has a bready/grainy aroma. A suprisingly nice malty flavor greets you,but after the 3-4th sip that seems to fade away.somewhat of bitter finish.

Dusty aroma with some hints of citrus. Amber pour white head. Carbonation dissipates quickly. Strong carmal flavor but its kept in check by a small amount of hops, "buttery" is the perfect word to describe this. Slight bitter finish with lingering metallic after taste. Decent.

Another bottle found near Cinci, Oct. 2005. Color is more of a golden-red ( a relief, I was thinking "Killians" type brew) , very short head, no lacing. Aroma was sweet with not even a hint of hop. Taste was sweet caramel with hint of diacetyl, very faint dusty hop finish. Palate was a bit grainy.

Red colour with a lite hop aroma. Medium hops front to finish. Hints of carmel malts in the flavour, but nothing special.

This brew’s 100th rating: Bottle. Light grass and citrus nose with caramel and overly sweet malt. Pale orange pour with a large, rocky lacing tan head and heavy obvious carbonation. Bitter start is quickly overwhelmed, and truly overwhelmed, by a surge of sweetness. Thin body alternates between oily and buttery and leaves a strange stale aftertaste. Caramel and light nuts are bested by grain. Aftertaste is strangely and unlikably funky. Down the drain.
