Clear bronze appearance with a small, off white head. Muted, soft fruit aroma. Malty, berryish taste, modestly hopped, with a touch of sweetness. Dull, short lived finish.

Dark copper color with a small beige head. Bready malt aroma. Flavor of sweet, sour and bitter malt. Finish makes me grimace.

Draught. Nondescript aroma. Reddish amber body with off-white head. Pretty color. No visible carbonation. No lace. Tastes like an ESB, not a Pale Ale. Stronger alcohol profile with an unrefined harshness. A little cloying in the finish like it has been sitting in the lines. Enjoyable and probably would do better rating-wise if it was listed as an ESB.

(bottle) Medium copper with eggshell-colored head. Malt aroma - some hint of biscuit. Flavor is caramel malt with some grape flavor in the finish as some had pointed out (couldn’t quite put my finger on it until I read that).

This one is ok - but not great. Coppery color, a small off-white head. Not much nose. A little citrus and malt with a light hopping.

My last beer in the Berghof variety pack. Sorry to see the end of the carton. This one is a beautiful beer and is dark tan in color. Unusual for an American Pale. Nice head that grows. Aroma is mallty fruit. Flavor is somewhat bitter but not really that much going on. Feels good in the mouth, albeit a little on the thin side.

Pours a pristinely clear light copper with a very thin off-white head. Sour, and slightly spicy aroma. Flavor is slightly sour upfront with a decent roast malt nuttiness before a vaguely hoppy bitter finish. Feels very carbonated and thin in the mouth.

Wow, this is bad. Flattish, with a touch of caramelly malt flavors and aromas, with a touch of that grape candy that is in some of the better doppelbocks, but it doesn’t work very well in this. Light unpleasant bitterness in the finish. Amberish, no effervescence, no head.
