Commercial Description:
This deep mahogany Euro-style lager has a nice balance of malts and hops, which lend to the full-flavored body and mild aroma. It has a pleasantly malt-fruity palate, with touches of chocolate, and some hoppy bitterness coming through at the end. The dark beer was rated as "One of the Top 100 Beers in the World" by Wine Enthusiast magazine, won the Silver Medal in the 1993 Great American Beer Festival and the Silver Medal in the 2002 World Beer Championships.

12 oz bottle - Poured Dark Brown with very little head. Not much aroma either. A little bit of floral hops and a touch of coffee. Flavor is much the same. Light on the palate and kind of watery without much carbonation. This one didn’t do much for me.

Medium to dark brown with a brief off-white head. Slight aroma of hops and coffee. Thin, lightly carbonated, taste is malty with a hint of caramel and a slight bitter hops finish at the end. Doesn’t seem much like a vienna to me but it’s not bad.

Only slightly less flavorful than Huber’s Bock. Pleasing and drinkable. Head was good when poured, but did not last. Weak aroma. Taste did not stay with me long.

Dark brown color with a small head. Malt and grain aroma; ditto for the flavor. It’s beer, that’s about it.

Meh. Out of the tap it was mid-dark brown. The tast was wild and grainy nearing sweet. Good but not impressive.

Dark copper coloring in the body with a thin head. The aroma is tobacco and coffee. There is also a sweet hint of caramel. The mouthfeel is thin with low carbonation. The taste is toffee and cherries. This is extremely drinkable. A nice Vienna that shows the possibilities within the style.
