| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 26, 2008 This is pretty terrible. Murkey dark color, barely any aroma. Slightly toasted taste, though not much there. Yeah, it’s better than most macros, so? Onslow (176), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2008 From a bottle. Amber colored beer that pours with a thin, off-white head that quickly fizzes away. Aroma is weak, sweet and malty. Flavor is primarily sweet and malty, with a bit of toasted malt taste and a faint but pleasant hops flavor at the end. Not terribly flavorful, but very well balanced. Beer seems almost flat in the glass, but carbonation feels very active on the tongue. Tasty beer that goes down well, though there are better choices in this category. This had nice roasted and chocolate flavors that was round and soft in the mouth. Much better than the Lager but still a bit below average for what we have available to us in Chicago. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2008 Pours clear amberish brown with a small off-white head that dissipates almost immediately leaving no lacing. The smell is fairly subtle with a toasted, slightly malt backbone with a hint of yeast. The taste is a little more complex than the aroma with the toasted malts still forming the backbone but with a little bit of caramel and dark fruits. The finish is slightly toasted. The mouthfeel is extremely crisp and clean with strong carbonation. This is a pretty tasty lager and quite drinkable. jebert (113), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2008 This reddish- brown hued libation carries an off white head that quickly dissapates. Aroma is of hops. Mild and creamy on the palate and nicely carbonated. Taste carries hints of chocolate and malt, not bitter. A good beer but not overly distinct. Pairs well with sandwiches made with rye or pumpernickle bread accompanied by a big kosher dill pickle. johntreeter (122), Greenwood, Indiana, USA
