The smell is fairly subtle with a toasted, slightly malt backbone with a hint of yeast. The taste is a little more complex than the aroma with the toasted malts still forming the backbone but with a little bit of caramel and dark fruits. The finish is slightly toasted. The mouthfeel is extremely crisp and clean with strong carbonation. This is a pretty tasty lager and quite drinkable. jebert (123), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2008 This reddish- brown hued libation carries an off white head that quickly dissapates. Aroma is of hops. Mild and creamy on the palate and nicely carbonated. Taste carries hints of chocolate and malt, not bitter. A good beer but not overly distinct. Pairs well with sandwiches made with rye or pumpernickle bread accompanied by a big kosher dill pickle. johntreeter (122), Greenwood, Indiana, USA
