This seasonal brew makes me look forward to cold, Midwestern winters. RERATE 5/7/06: Bottled. This is outstanding. Pronounced nuttiness and chocolate in the taste, this is an amazing beer.

Beer is exactly what you'll expect from a title like "Hazelnut Winderfest Ale"

Pours amber with a medium white foamy head. Smells delightful, you can definately smell the hazelnut and some caramel, and peanuts. My mouth was watering after smelling it. Had this in June. Malty with a nutty taste provided by a combination of different nuts. I can’t wait to have this during christmas time around the fire with the tree up.

This beer rocks. The commercial description will have to suffice since I didn’t take notes. However, this is a great winter warmer. If you enjoy other winter warmers that I have rated highly, you will love this one.

Beautiful amber color with little head when poured carefully. Nice sweet nutty smell. Great roasted malt taste with a definite hazelnut presence. There is a hazelnut candy (can’t remember the name now) that this resembles alot because of the sweet nuttiness. I hope to find more of this to share with family.

Tasted with family and friends and it was a hit. Unremarkable amber body with white head and nice lacing but the aroma packed a wallop of hazelnut and the flavor carried that through without being cloying. Very good.

It’s not winter anymore but I am glad I got my hands on this beer. Very pleasant to drink.
