Commercial Description:
Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

This hazy orange beer pours with a slight off-white head and a banana aroma that borders on circus peanuts as well as tangy/bitter wheat notes. The body is rather weak, though, with a thin flavor profile of circus peanuts and artificial banana. Rather tangy/fruity finish. Too candylike for my tastes.

The smell was overwhelmingly wheaty. The tiny bubbles that made the tongue tingle were the best part. The flavor reminded me of rotten meat...but I don’t care for witbiers.

Looks good and has a classic wheat aroma but was very sweet and almost sour.

Yellow color, with a quickly fading white head. Very nice banana/clove scent. Taste is sweet, with clove flavor dominating. Slightly thicker than I'm used to from hefeweizens. A good, solid beer.

Hazy orange/gold color, very well carbonated with just a moderate head but good lacing on the way down. Aroma-bananas all over the place. Light bodied with a spritzy mouthfeel, the flavor was fruity and sweet with lots of cloves but very little citrus acidity. Typical short finish with just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. A pretty respectable hefeweizen that beat out several of the German ones on my list.

Very light with a fruitness to it. Decent head but not quite like German hefe's. quite refreshing overall.

Cloudy golden hue with little head and some lacing. Aroma hints of wheat, lemongrass, spice, banana, and musty gym towels. Initial taste is very grainy and spicey, followed up by fleshy fruit and finished by a mild acidic nature. This thin to medium-bodied brew has a lovely mouthfeel. A good version of a Hefe, only knock is that it's a little too much banana and not enough citrus.

Deep hazy golden color with a white head that dissipated to just a few bubbles along the rim. Heavy aromas of wheat, light cloves and bananas and yeast. Flavors of malt and bananas. Much better than I remember. A bit heavy in the phenols in the finish that makes me feel like I've been chewing on banana bubble gum.
