Commercial Description:
Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

Sampled on draught at Orton Park festival this past weekend: Pours a semi hazey, bright golden colour with a full fluffy white head. Dissipates rather quickly, aroma is sweet with hints of tropical fruit and grass. Taste is creamy, a little dull in some parts- overall a pretty refreshing brew.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazed, pale yellow. Not as muchhead as you might expect from a hefe. Nose is also not very profound and light scents of wheat and citrus sift through. Flavor is predominantly sour/citrus, with wheat and a miniature banana and is on the thin side. Not the best hefe at all. Thanks to lewis12 for the bottle

Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a tiny head. Light aroma of citrus, wheat, and clove. Nice flavor, sweet with a bit of tartness, sort of like a Berliner weiss lite.

Pours a clear yellow-gold that clouds a little in the glass with a creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty bread with a citrus note. Very creamy and light on the palate. Citrus is more pronounced with the tasting, Finishes light and refreshing with no bitterness. Excellent at a summer picnic either alone or with a light repast of finger sandwiches, fruit and cheese.

Pours a crisp golden color with a finger of very rapidly dissipating white head. Some banana tones in the aroma. Very light, crisp taste with a fruity banana aftertaste. A nice summer beer.

Unfiltered yellow with thin white head. Aroma of yeast and toasted malts. Flavor of light banana, vanilla. A little sweet with next to no bitterness. Not too bad.

12 oz bottle pours a limpid yellow body with a small white head that quickly vanishes. Weak aroma has some clove and faint fruit. Light medium body is thin and watery, almost flat. Taste has some clove, yeast, and maybe a hint of banana. Yuck!
