Commercial Description:
Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

pours a dark cloudy yellow with a nice two finger fluffy off white head. aroma is wheat and lemon. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. a descent and refreshing hefe from berghoff, kind of a hefe light.

Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma doesn’t really smell like bannanas or other spices normally in a hefe, there is some malted wheat smell though. Taste is malted wheat but with a little bannana and clove flavor. Not a bad beer but not near as good as just about any real hefe I have had.

Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. Aromas of bananas and grainey wheat cereal. Flavor is of bananas and wheat grains. Has a little bitter finish. Body is kinda thin as well. Refreshing, but not fantastic.

Aroma is more of an American wheat then a Bavarian Hefe, mostly wheat cereal grain coming out, eventually those banana esters make it out, surprisingly little head for this style, taste is light wheat banana taste, a little to light ,as are most of these Berghoff brews, beer is pleasant enough , probaly would be enjoyed by those who enjoy up to 4 weiss brews on a hot summer day. Thanks LT. Judge

12oz bottle poured in a mug (my weizen glass sucks). This hefe pours macro yellow with a macro head. The nose is primarily lemon and yeast, heavy on the lemon. It would be better if it was heavier on the yeast. This beer has macro written all over it. It tasted nothing like a hefeweizen really. It had a lemony taste to go with the aroma. It didn’t have the yeasty thickness or flavor you associate with this style. The body was over-carbonated and the taste was way off. The whole beer was thin and harsh. If I had this beer in a blind taste test I’d have sworn AB brewed a lemon lager.

Picked up two 12-oz bottles via Berghoff Sampler Pack at Steve’s Liquor & More in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of light banana esters, some multi-grained and wheat malt, a touch of cloves with some grassy hops. Taste is medium body, lightly carbonation, with a sweet banana and citrus flavor. Finish is smooth, creamy with a good banana and clove aftertaste.

pale yellow, fine white head, sweet banana aroma balanced by light clove, rich fruity banana flavor with only a touch of sweetness, clove keeps the banana balanced,
