| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy, straw-colored yellow with a thin white head.
Smell: Faint aroma of bananas, coriander, and crackers.
Taste: Light wheaty sweetness upfront with a little bit of citrus. Sure, there’s the obligatory hints of coriander, banana, and even bubblegum, but they’re all far, far off in the background. Quick, light finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Light carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s mild for a hefeweizen. That being said, it wasn’t half bad. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Mmmmm. Nose of toffee & caramel, underlying strong presence of heavy citrus. Interesting and different. The brew pours a sparkling honey straw. The quickly diminishing white frothy head leaves no lace. The highly acidic flavor almost approaches vinegar, almost; but not quite. The finish is very brief. The light creamy body is fizzy and feels very crisp at the finish. patrick767 (2049), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2007 bottle - Pours bright, hazy yellow with a thin, rapidly fading head. It has a very yeasty aroma that reveals a bit of citrus. It definitely tastes like a sweet, citrusy summertime beer. Light and bubbly on the palate, it’s quite drinkable but rather bland. This is an average hefeweizen at best. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 12, 2007 The last beer in the Berghoff sample pack and even for $8 on sale I am not sure I would recommend it. This is a cloudy beer with a smaller than average hefe head. Not as aromatic as their Wit, more of a bread wheat smell. Taste is typical hefe; bread, yeast, mild cloves and bananas. Palate is good on this, no aftertaste or sweetness. The best of the group. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 27, 2007 Bottle in sampler pack, from Whole Foods. Cloudy golden color upon pouring. Sweet, slightly acidic caramel aroma. A hint of yeast. Mostly just graininess. This is a pretty poor excuse for a hefe. 17thfloor (1498), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Typical hefeweizen aroma - pleasing sour bananas. Very light hefeweizen with stronger alcohol flavor (body seems somewhat seperate from the flavor). Something odd about this one... like banana candy Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 8, 2007 Very nice hefe. The flavor is crisp (i notice the water quality of Berghoff’s as unusualy fresh) the colors right and flavor pretty authentic. I don’t know if I can say it is the best hefeweizen I ever had but it is very highly recomended.
