Commercial Description:
Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

Better than I had hoped. From a bottle, this pours a hazy gold with a medium white head. Nice hefe aroma with hints ot cloves and citrus. Initially sweet taste with a quick dash of citrus & banana. A moderate clove background soon makes itself known. Medium bodied and not overly carbonated. Really quite good.

Bottle 12 oz. Hazy amber with moderate white head that diminished slowly. Sweet aroma. Light to medium body. Sweet wheat flavor with medium sweet finish.

Yellow, classic hefe appearance and aroma. It is light and wheaty but not overly so. It is certainly nothing special either.

On of my favor wheat beer out there. Solid finish without the sour notes. Can drink with a lemon or without. Very refreshing on a good hot day.

A good hefeweizen aroma is the best quality of this beer. Looks like a pale lager. Flavor is of a watery hefeweizen. All of the expected flavors are there but none of them in sufficient quantity. Still a good effort from a macro.

Cloudy gold that is a little darker than I expected for the style. The aroma is pungent with lemons, soap and some strong clove notes. There is also a little banana in the background. Fairly nice nose for an American hefe. The taste is a little bubblegum and some light banana. There is also some taffy. The finish is spicy with the cloves and bananas. A fairly nice summer quencher.

Bottled. #9 of 31 US Beers for <a href=http://www.americanbeermonth.com>American Beer Month. This has a slightly more subdued banana nose than the other weizens we’ve been trying tonight. It was served warm and had some slight notes of chlorides, though. There’s a soft wheat taste that’s more suited to an American wheat beer.

12 oz bottle - Poured cloudy golden. Aroma is bannanas, a touch of clove and a hint of lemon. Flavor was of banannas, some yeast and a touch of lemon. On the palate this is light and not over carbonated. Great for a summer beer. Not a bad hefeweizen. Probably the best brew in the mix pack that I tried.
