Commercial Description:
Berghoff Hefe Weizen is a smooth tasting, unfiltered Wheat Beer brewed in traditional Bavarian style, using both Two-Row Barley and Wheat Malt. The cloudy appearance of the Hefe-Weizen is caused by the Vitamin B-Complex carrying top fermented yeast in the finished product.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with JCapriotti (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, and citrus. Tastes of wheat, cloves, and bananas. On the thinner side.

Uncapping it is like peeling open a banana. Thick rich white head covering a cloudy golden body with a good German yeasty profile. Slighty sour and fairly malty, but it seems to lack that special thickness or finish that its foreign competitors have. It’s very drinkable though, and relatively unexpensive.

Not a bad hefeweizen for Huber. It has the classic look, a hazy straw body with a good sized head. The aroma is full of banana and bubblegum with a touch of clove. Lively, spritzy mouthfeel. The flavor is a soft wheat with banana, clove, and a light lemon twist in the finish. I like it, and frankly I’m surprised, considering what’s been brewed under The Berghoff name the past few years.

Deep hazy golden color with a white head that dissipated to just a few bubbles along the rim. Heavy aromas of wheat, light cloves and bananas and yeast. Flavors of malt and bananas. Much better than I remember. A bit heavy in the phenols in the finish that makes me feel like I've been chewing on banana bubble gum.

Bottle 12 oz. Hazy amber with moderate white head that diminished slowly. Sweet aroma. Light to medium body. Sweet wheat flavor with medium sweet finish.

Hazy blonde wth a creamy white head, and a pleasant aroma of bubble gum and cloves. In mouth, less remarkable, bananas and some lactic acid/lemon. Creamy in mouth and in general very palatable. Would be nice to compare with Blanche de Chambly.

Cloudy gold that is a little darker than I expected for the style. The aroma is pungent with lemons, soap and some strong clove notes. There is also a little banana in the background. Fairly nice nose for an American hefe. The taste is a little bubblegum and some light banana. There is also some taffy. The finish is spicy with the cloves and bananas. A fairly nice summer quencher.
