Bottle. Small ivory head that quickly diminished, sparse lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, fast rising carbonation, slightly hazy, and an orange hue. Aroma was malty, caramel and sweet. Flavor was sweet, malty and caramel. Not a flavor that said "wow this is really good". Tingly mouthfeel. Light body. Just average.

This was the first beer that, in my head, I rated by "style percentile"--I said to myself, this is a 40% Oktoberfest. At the time I rated it, the actual score was 37.6%--well done, me! It pours a simple amber color with a decent off-white head. The aroma at first was tempting, with a rich quality, caramelly and fruity, that made me think of other styles. That actually faded into slightly more blah aromas as it warmed. The flavor was big-time toffee and a bit of nuttiness, but significantly less complex and under-hopped compared to other Oktoberfests. The palate was frothy, another hint (like the aroma) to my senses that there is something vagulely Belgian going on here! An odd association, I guess. Yet there was also a sensation that this was on the thin side of flavor. Like I said, not terrible, but rather basic in the flavors and all told slightly below average for an Oktoberfest.

well, unlike sam adams this average beer at least spells oktoberfest with a k. that was my favorite thing about this beer except that it was quite smooth and drinkable, but lacking a lot of flavor.

Pours a honey-colored head that held up OK. Nice malty aroma. Taste is slightly sweet toasted malt and well balanced. Crisp and light for the style, but well crafted and refreshing.

Red-orange, slightly hazy, with an off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Light toasted malt and straw aroma. Lightly fruity malts in the flavor, though the base seems sour. Highly carbonated and light bodied.

Pours a dark Amber with no head. Not a bad taste, but very thin. Fruity esters poke through with the malt, though almost no bitterness to balance. meh.

Copper color with a thin, see-ya-later head. Slighty malty lager like aroma-big suprise. Starts out sweet and malty with adequte carbonation tingling the toungue. Flavor fades to a dry, uneventful finish that makes you forget what it tastes like. Thin body. Similar to Leinie’s Oktoberfest only with cleaner flavors. Easy to drink and inexpensive. Thanks to the previously mentioned Leine only the second worst O-fest I’ve had.

A so-so oktoberfest overall. Copper color with small head. Smell is malty but strangly offputting. Flavor is very malty and has a carmel-like quality to it. Finishes wet. May be a bit too sweet for my liking.
