Commercial Description:
Amber colored, all-malt-lager, which possesses a modest bitterness and clean aroma. Crafted in the traditional Bavarian manner and resembles the Marzen-type Oktoberfest Biers as they are served at the fall festivities in Munich. It won the Gold Medal in the 2002 World Beer Championships.

pours a clear dark orange with a two finger creamy off white head. aroma is light caramel malt with a typical marzen smell and a touch of hops. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. not to bad of a marzen and would probably take this one over some others i have had.

Pours a nice amber color with a small white head. Aromas of grain and a little bit of caramel. Sweet grainy flavor with maybe a hint of caramel flavor. Body is a little thin as well, but not a horrible brew.

Pours a light copper amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is malty with caramel malt coming through. Taste is malty as well but a little light. Not a bad beer, but not a great marzen or anything.

Light grain, and flecks of caramel, in aroma, light grain taste, some kind of sweetness ,though i wouldn’t call it caramel, not a distinctive Oktoberfest, but there are no off flavors and pleasant enough to drink, thanks LT.Judge

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Flanagan’s Liquors in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a fine film and off-white ring. Aroma of sweetened caramel malt, some flowery hops, a touch of toffee and some light yeast. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of sweet caramel malt, some fruity pears and a touch of brown sugar. Finish is light, slightly watery with a light caramel malt aftertaste. A simple märzen brew.

Amber color. Sweetish sample of Oktoberfest, some sweet caramel, the minimum required sweetness.

Pour is a amber with a large tan head. Aroma does have some decent bready malts coming off it. Flavor is less so. Very watery with some a very small amout of malts and the breadyness of most marzens is not there. Its Berghoff what was i expecting.

Malty aroma, taste is hoppy, alcohol gives it a sharp aftertaste. Not terrible but does not compare well to other Oktoberfest varieties. Distinctly metallic aftertaste greatly impacts drinkability, I would not want more than one of these at a time.
