Nov 9, 2005 Not as bitter as some but it has a nice (if a little weak) flavor. Not better then say Hacker Pschorre or Pauliner but refreshing. I notice the water this company uses is very fresh tasting.

Aug 30, 2001 You fols who haven’t tried this are missing out!! Especially for 5 or 6 bucks a 6-pack! This is a very faithful interpretation of the style that thankfully is not too sweet. Berghoff is one of the best American brewers in terms of value for the money. Right on!

Sep 29, 2005 On tap that the Berghoff Oktoberfest event in Chicago. Average white long lasting head with good lacing. Clear medium-body amber colored beer with a clean malty aroma. Starts with a nutty malty flavor and finishes with a light hop bitterness of average duration. an enjoyable Oktoberfest beer, especially with a bratwurst.

Jul 20, 2008 This fire red marzen is crowned by a foamy tan head. Aroma is caramel and malt. Creamy on the palate with a mild flavor of caramel, ginger and barley. No bitterness, this smooth seasonal pairs well with a Wisconsin brat or pastrami on rye.

Oct 14, 2006 Had this one bottled at the Binny’s Oktoberfest in St. Charles, Illinois. Deep orange pour with a light, tannish head. Carmelly malty nose with some bready notes throughout, lightly hopped, well balanced. Good!

Jul 31, 2006 Orange color with a beige head. Aroma of grainy malt and a little citrus. Flavor of bitter and roasted malt. Pretty good.
