doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Nov 5, 2009 Golden with white head. Musty, malt sweet, rice aroma. Grain, lemon, sweet malt, and rice flavours. Dry and lite. beercamel (83), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2009 Pours clear golden crisp with good carb but taste lacks and is very bland. Had at the berghoff in chicago. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 16, 2009 Gift from my Wisconsin hook up. Thanks Jamie. Again not a horrible brewery but nothing that stands out for me. The pour was nice. A mild aroma of hop and skunk. A mild spicy finish. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Aug 11, 2009 Berghoff Prairie Lager. 12oz twist-off bottle. Clear golden yellow. Look like the open prairies with its amber waves of grain. Aroma of lemon, banana peels, and straw. Sharp hop bitterness, crisp malt. Drink pretty good for a Pale Lager. shp555 (1678), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 8, 2009 Pours a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma is vanilla, honey, grain, and a touch of spicy hops. Flavor is grain, vanilla, some honey, and a bitter spicy finish. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Jul 30, 2009 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Madison. Pale yellow colour, some limited visible carbonation. Thin head, some faint yeasty aroma. Watery texture, some spicy hop notes and skunky taste with a sweet finish. Chuggable on a hot day. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is mettallic, a touch tart and fruity. Faint cold haze to this golden beer with a thin filmy off-white head that leaves no lacing. Sweet with a grainy cereal like body and a slight lingering bitterness. Thin and light bodied. Decent lager.
FunkyBrewster (437), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours a decent pale yellow with a small white lingering head. Aroma is very sweet malt, sugary, slightly citric and fruity. Flavor starts and ends with a lot of the same sweetness, some metallic notes along with a very mild bitterness towards the finish. Not a whole lot going on there. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Sort of bland, a lot of the same maltiness as the dark beer and the red too Id imagine. Easy drinking though, and a good step up from macro light beers for the price
