Draft at the Berghoff Cafe at O’Hare. Light noble hop aroma. Dark golden color with a white head. Near medium body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is very full pale malt. They didn’t cheap on this one. The hop is rather fruity. The finish is fairly dry and definitely bitter. One really good lager. Amazing.

From my own tap, in various glasses including a stein and shaker. Pours golden, with a quickly-vanishing fluffy head. Aroma is malty and corn. Flavor is faintly fruity, with some corn sweetness. FAR FAR FAR FAR better than (1) mass-produced Pale Lagers and (2) most people reviewed. Criticisms below seem to be with the type of beer more than this beer. This is a beer to start people on not drinking macro Pale Lagers.

Clear golden body has a small white head that is quickly gone. Aroma of corn syrup and a hint of floral hops. Taste is bready malt sweetness with a hint of corn syrup with a balancing floral hop bitterness. A forgettable attempt to imitate a mainstream macro.

Golden yellow with thin quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of corn, sweet malts, very perfume-like. Tastes overly sweet and malty with a bitter finish to go with mild astringent properties. Some corn and apples in there too. Better than a mass produced pale lager, but still a pale lager nonetheless.

Pours golden with a decent white head that doesn’t stay. Aroma is pale malts. Taste is sweet pale malt, not bad at all for a pale lager. Very sweet.

Pours light golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, lager yeast, a bit of sour mash and lemon. Taste is a bit soapy, bready malt, honey, lightly bitter hops. Mouthfeel is thin bodied with moderate carbonation.
