Bottle in sampler pack, from Whole Foods. Medium golden color upon pouring. Aroma is of soggy cardboard and butter. Very sweet and somewhat syrupy. Has some malt liquor type sweetness to it. Not too pleasant.

Pale transparant yellow pour, large white sudsy head. Smells like pool water but in a good way, some zest to it. Strong carmal malt flavor. Definitly the same malt as in other berghoffs but smooth due to the lagering... little to no carbonation. sweet/dry finish... this malt works better in the ales.

Deep yellow, almost goldt, short head, fizzy appearance. Aroma is sweet. Body is water with some fizz and a bit of grainy malt. I"m thinking that it’s full of adjunct (corn)

Bottle. Grass and herbal hops in the nose, some sweet malt. Pours pale golden with a sticky, lacing, rocky white head. Taste is moderately malty and bittersweet, some grain and corn. Strongish carbonation, light watery body, grassy with a touch of metallic acidity. Cleanish finish. Really not that bad, as these go.

I was really hoping this one would be better than the other Berghoff beers I’ve had, but it proved not to be. Gold color, with a head that deflated very fast. Some small lacing, but not enough to elevate the Appearance score. Weak aroma. Flavor was balanced, but lacks further comment. Maybe the new owner of the brewery will put out a better product.

Bottle: Golden color, light head and lacing. Nose is a bit floral and grassy with some light sweetness from the malts. A bit husky, but not much. The flavor is a bit sweet, but clean and drinkable. Light malts, a bit too light in hops. The finish is grassy, wet, eh, not bad.
