May 10, 2006 Berghoff’s are generaly underrated as is this. Smooth taste decent flavor. Lagers aren’t the most exciting style of Beer but good in a pinch. I like it.

Jun 5, 2002 Pretty good stuff. I’m impressed with the body and the crisp, almost tart finish. I would buy this beer again if the mood for a lager hit me. Good taste, good quality, it’s no Falstaff, but it’s okay in it’s own right.

Aug 30, 2001 This was a really good american lager. I like almost everything from the joseph huber brewing company and this is no exception. A well flavored lager. Great with cooking on the grill.

Sep 3, 2004 On tap at the O’Hare tap room. Yellow-gold with a white head. Very sweet malty aroma; sweet cookie flavors on this purely malty beer. When you’re not in the mood for bitterness, this is good.

Nov 8, 2004 THoroughly enjoyable beer, one of my favorite styles though, Nice malty/watery sort of flavor, only real complaint I have is the slightly metalic aftertaste, overall heads up beer.

Mar 18, 2004 Updated: Jul 26, 2005Medium gold color with a moderate head and a mild spicy aroma. Light to medium bodied, malty and on the sweet side with perhaps some adjunct presence, not much. Well hopped for the style with a nice spicy bitterness in the finish when it is reasonably fresh.
