naivepegasus (151), USA Jun 12, 2008 Pours a clear yellow with a finger of stark white, rapidly dissipating head. Slight odor of corn and straw. There’s a light bitterness that’s balanced with a bit of a syrupy sweetness. Its an easy enough beer to drink.
oldrtybastrd (1793), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Oct 30, 2008 Sampled in Davenport, IA. Pours a golden yellow. Aromas of light grains/grass/ and a hint of hops. Has a fresh crisp taste. popephred (141), Plainfield, Illinois, USA Oct 17, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a pale yellow body topped by a small head of white foam. Aroma is of grain and grass, while light is better than most pale lagers. Initially sweet, then transitioning to bitter, this lager has a larger flavor profile than other pale lagers. A slight caramel nuttiness with a crisp finish. For a lager, this had a surprising semi-complexity. I could drink this again. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle. Slight grassy aroma. Flavor of grassy hops, a touch of sweetness and some sort of nuttiness...maybe almond? I found the carbonation a little agressive. Pretty solid for a pale lager. CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 10, 2008 Nope. No comment. But I need more characters, so...it’s better than Budweiser and it’s worse than PBR. It smells and it’s skunky. Onslow (42), , Michigan, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Golden brew, slightly cloudy, with a white head. Aroma is of grain, with slight hops. Flavor is grainy in the begining and crisp and clean at the end. Refreshing! If it was available locally, I’d make it a regular.
