No visible carbonation. Fairly large, white head. Excellent lace. Flavor not bad, but expected more from a larger regional brewer. Could pass for a session beer, but perhaps a little high in alcohol content for that. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2003 Nose is green, a bit odd, like hoppy sumac. Copper, small white head. Flavor is surprisingly decent--slightly grapefruity Cascade (and other?) hops over a respectable enough malt backbone. Trying to be Sierra Nevada Pale presumably--comes up a bit short, but a good effort. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2003 This brew poured a medium head of fine-large sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left a fair lacing and a transparent uncarbonated amber colored body. It had a mild malt-hop aroma. The mouthfeel was initiallyt slightly bitter but was rather smooth from start to finish. Its flavor was a typical malt hop one with a bit of an acidic or metallic tendancy. hotstuff (3176), Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2003 A small ivory head with fine-small sized bubbles. The body was clear with carbonation present and the hue was orange. The nose was sweet and hoppy. The lacing was sparse on the sides of my glass. The flavor ws bitter, hoppy, sweet, and it left an aftertaste that lingered. The mouthfeel was smooth, thin, tingly on the tongue, nd light bodied. jerkadilly74 (155), mooresville, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2003 Another fine brew from the folks at Berghoff. Smooth, nice finish, wasn't expecting a lot because these were so cheap but was pleasantly suprised. Similar to Leinenkugels in some ways. WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 18, 2003 A decent looking pale with medium copper color and a decent off white head. Aroma is mostly hops, and is pretty nice, though it could use something OTHER than the hops to give more complexity. The flavor, compared to the nose, is fairly weak and lacks the hop bite I expected. All the flavor is in the finish, which is a little disappointing. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 28, 2003 Not a very good APA, or anything for that matter. Smells very malty, and a bit sour. An aroma of lemon grass and peanut butter also. Very little hop flavor or aroma. Disappointing. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2003 copper color with a thin white creamy head. aroma is mainly of pear and apple...very crisp and floral. at first a very sweet flavor shows through, but VERY quickly turns sour like a granny smith apple. also detect a slight hint of alcohol...found that quite strange for a 5.8% beer.
