Bottle. Pours golden copper with thick whitish head. Aroma is typical of Berghoff beers. Very sweet and grainy, with caramel and some hops thrown in at the end. Flavor is sweet and caramel, hop flavor is sharp (but not very developed or strong). Palate is fairly thin and very fizzy. Not so great.

Pours a nice copper color with a nice off white head. A grainey hops aroma with caramel notes in there as well. Flavor matches the aroma, but with a slightly odd bitter flavor in there. Average brew.

Picked up two 12-oz bottles via Berghoff Sampler Pack at Steve’s Liquor & More in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates nearly clean. Aroma of light multi-grain malt with some citrus hops. Taste is medium body light carbonation, with a watery mild caramel flavor. Finish is mildly bitter with a citrus hop aftertaste.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light coppy body with a wispy white head. Smell: Faint, almost unappealing aroma of musty grains and a drop or two of lemon. Taste: Mild grainy taste and caramel, though the latter doesn’t impart much sweetness. Light citrus hop flavor. Finish provides a subtle bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Pretty dull, even for a pale ale.

Pours a transparent light copper bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of very mild, citrusy hops with a touch of pale malt. Body starts fairly weak in flavor with a light bittersweetness throughout, a hint of toasted grain and grapefruity hops. Pretty bland overall.

Finally some hops in a Berghoff beer. While not great this one is more tolerable. The aroma and flavor are improved but the watery palate and metallic taste are still here. It actually gets worse the more you drink it.
