This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated brown colored body. The aroma was malty and musty. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

A decent, fairly average beer. Darkish color. Light crisp nose. Some nice dark caramel malt flavors throughout. Good pick up to bring to a party to share in general, or to grab a few without wanting to really get into a beer too much.

12 oz bottle pours a nice clear red with a thick off white head. Aroma is most like your typical macro lager. Tastes better than it smells; lightly malty with a very mild bitterness.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish copper with decent off-white head. Not a whole lot for aroma, sweet and malty. Like most Berghoff beers, the flavor is very sweet, caramel with some fruitiness. Not what I think of when I think of a dunkler bock, not a bad beer, but certainly not one I’m running out to buy a six-pack of.

Poured dark reddish orange color with small head. Aroma is pretty weak, I detect roasted malt and thats it. Lacks any real flavor that stands out, basically an average brew. Had a cigarette aftertaste, thats not a good thing.

Picked up two 12-oz bottles via Berghoff Sampler Pack at Steve’s Liquor & More in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Aroma of dark roasted caramel malt with some flowery hops and fruity character. Taste is medium body, light carbonation, with a fruity caramel flavor. Finish is light malty with a quick lasting fruity aftertaste.

Actually, quite a tasty beer, malty with enough hops. Deep reddish color and a bit of fruitiness in the mouth. nice.
