Commercial Description:
Berghoff Solstice Wit, named for the golden light of the longest day of the year, is a refined, Bavarian-style thirst-quencher. Made with the finest red wheat, 2-row malted barley, and the most sought-after American hops, this is a light, refreshing brew with subtle hints of Curacao orange and coriander. This was the first beer to feature the new Berghoff label design.

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized of unnoted length white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was slightly hazy and light orange brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild astringent malt . Its mouth feel is initially tingly bubbly with a lingering bubbly palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild malt hop wheat bread and dough notes.

12 oz bottle from Woodmans in Beloit, WI. Golden body, slightly hazy, little head...light lemon-sour nose with little spice or malt evident...sour fairly full body, touch citrusy, no yeasty character apparent...bland watery finish.

Light in appearnace and aroma. Surprisingly, not very wheaty in taste, and barely reminiscent of any other Belgian wit I’ve had. Really seems like an above-average lager.

I love this beer. It is perfect on a summer day or in the winter when it cold and you need a warmup. I love the wheat flavor and its not too filling either!

Not bad for a summer beer. Tame by most standards. Pretty light with a crisp finish.

12oz bottle. No best by or bottled on dates, but I just got it from the liquor store. Served at 45.5° in my NB worthy glass. Pours hazy gold with orange highlights and a smallish, off-white head. Nose is hops?, oranges, and spice. The taste is citrusy at first with a yeasty, spicy corriander, orange peel mid-taste, and a spicy corriander and mildly bitter finish. This is a pretty good wit representation with the added bonus of some mild hops aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Per the website, the hops used are Tettnang and Galena.
