Commercial Description:
Berghoff Solstice Wit, named for the golden light of the longest day of the year, is a refined, Bavarian-style thirst-quencher. Made with the finest red wheat, 2-row malted barley, and the most sought-after American hops, this is a light, refreshing brew with subtle hints of Curacao orange and coriander. This was the first beer to feature the new Berghoff label design.

Cloudy, light gold colored body. The aroma is over ripe oranges and some light clove. There is also a hint of banana and perfume. The taste has some light oranges and a tiny bit of corriander spice. A little to much citrus, even for the style. Otherwise, an alright beer.

Amber/golden and hazy bodied under a small & creamy white head. Aromas were sourly-fruited & a tad milky with clove, cinnamon, banana and a touch of pepper. (Medicinally yeasty notes, if that makes any sense.) Flavor was sweet and sour whilst holding the dry essence of its wheat character along with banana, clove and band-aid. Slightly chalky finish. A pleasantly surprising Berghoff... one that I may actually purchase, as I feel its price and availability in my area will be accommodating.

Cloudy amber/orange color with a thick white head that disappeared quick. Fruity, orange spice aroma. Light bodied with flavors of citrus, spice and a hint of banana. Refrehing hit of citrus spice at the finish. Not my favorite style of beer but actually quite enjoyable especially on hot days.

A nice frothy brew that is light bodied, higher on the citrusy side and lower on coriander. Goes great with a burger and rhubarb pie at a small diner(M&M Cafe)) in Monticello, WI along the Sugar River bike trail.

Very cloudy orange/golden beer. White head quickly disappears. Lots of citrus in the nose. Flavor is a mix of citrus, spice and sweet malt. Very light body. An ok summer thirst quencher.

Gold Coloring with White Ring. Light Citrus Aroma. More Citrus on the Tongue, Malt and Some Hops, a Bit Watery But Still Drinkable.

Hazy yellow-orange with lots of bubbles. Small white head that is mostly diminishing. Oranges, cloves, sweet malt, and a slight wheat tang in the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor dies out prematurely. There is a slight wheatiness in the aftertaste, but it is very short-lived; mostly dominated by a stale rye-bread flavor. Watery mouthfeel.

While the body is a tad thin this is an almost perfect beer. I like how crisp and refreshing it is with not bite to it. I really taste the undertone of orange and coriander as advertised. This is almost as good as Cellis White and Hoegarrden. A terrfic beer for a humid muggy day
