Commercial Description:
Berghoff Solstice Wit, named for the golden light of the longest day of the year, is a refined, Bavarian-style thirst-quencher. Made with the finest red wheat, 2-row malted barley, and the most sought-after American hops, this is a light, refreshing brew with subtle hints of Curacao orange and coriander. This was the first beer to feature the new Berghoff label design.

A miky yellow-orange beer with a large tangy nose. Rather spicy and citrusy. Well balanced and very close to creamy. Fairly good.

Clear gold color with no head. The aroma and taste are pretty much the same: slight hint of lemon with a bit of pine at the end.

Slightly hazy golden amber. Thin and fleeting white head. Aroma is a refreshing orange-banana with hairspray. Mild sparkly orange and wheaty malt taste. Glad it isn’t overly sweet, but it also isn’t overly flavorful.

On tap at brewery. Smells like Lemon Head candy - sugary and lemony. Hazy pale yellow color. Head was initially fluffy but then rapidly deflated. Heavy in carbonation. Upfront acidic tang, then mellows into a yeasty pale lager aftertaste. Mild. At the bottom of my list for Belgian Wits.

Not my favorite witbier, but not terrible either. Has some very earthy, hearty tones, perfectly reflecting its home town’s atmosphere. Taste is of wheat, bitter greens, light spice, and maybe a hint of grapefruit. Body starts out feeling a little light, but ends a little fuller than you’d think.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy, yellowish in color. Some of the standard wheat style aroma. Flavor was mostly sweet, some spice but not very complex. Body was very watery.

Bottle. Very small white head that quickly dissipated, sparse lacing, fine-medium sized bubbles, carbonated, transparent, and a straw yellow hue. Malty and fruity aroma. Flavor was sweet and malty and rather boring and bland. Tingly and somewhat dry mouthfeel. Light body. Unimpressive and not recommended.

Medium haziness in this yellow beer with a thin head. Strong corn-starchy aroma, like Coors light. Vaguely yeasty character carries this, rescuing it from its poor draw on the nose. But it’s still flat and boring.
