Commercial Description:
Berghoff Solstice Wit, named for the golden light of the longest day of the year, is a refined, Bavarian-style thirst-quencher. Made with the finest red wheat, 2-row malted barley, and the most sought-after American hops, this is a light, refreshing brew with subtle hints of Curacao orange and coriander. This was the first beer to feature the new Berghoff label design.

Hazy orange appearance with a small white head and no lacing. Spicy nose needs a few minutes for the orange peel to come out in the aroma. Dry, spicy, wheaty taste. Medium-to-light body, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Short lived, one dimensional finish.

12oz bottle pours golden cloudy wtih a short white head that stays pretty well and laces some. Aromas of light yeast and orange peel. Flavor is yeasty asa well with definite orange and corriander notes. Pretty mild overall in flavor though as most of their beers have been. Watery palate without much carbonation. Pretty average in all ways.. I’d take hoegaarden over this one any time..

Pours a slightly hazy bright golden with a thin ring of white head. Soft pale malty aroma has some mild buttery notes and a decent orange zest and coriander spice. Body starts fairly bland, but drinkable with a light sweetness and true to style spice character. An ok witbier, but nothing great.

Cloudy gold, very little head, light fruity aroma, plenty of fizz and citrus with a light touch of spice and a little banana, pretty watered-down version of the style but thirst-quenching if not very memorable.

Pours a pale yellow with white head.Strong banana and clove aroma. That heavy banana and clove translates though in its flavor as well.Nice clove finish.

Bottled sample. Cloudy yellow in colour with lots of carbonation. Floral hop aromas, along with some very strong banana and tangerine notes. There are some citrus flavor notes, but the banana element continued to be far too dominant. Thin bodied and too bitter for the style. Mediocre at best.

Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma has spice, husky malt and light citrus. Medium mouthfeel with somewhat sharp carbonation. Taste is spicy and husky. Finish is sour and grainy with some lemon citrus. Not a bad Wit - I went in expecting the worst considering some of their other offerings and was pleasantly surprised.

12oz bottle, no date. Pours a cloudy light golden with a small white head. Aroma of some weird artificial orange (illinismitty put it best with the perfume smell), some yeast, and a little wheat in there. Flavor is some ripe fake oranges and a lot of wheat. Also a tad bit of bitterness before the wheatiness. Sharper carbonation, light bodied. An all right beer.
