Cloudy copper color with small light tan head that laces nicely. Flavor is very pleasant and drinkable. Citrus and light caramel malt. Clean finish with light bitterness. Quite good and refreshing. elihapa (1072), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Poured from Growler, a beautiful ruby red-brown with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, and a touch of roasts. Flavor starts on a smooth, semi-sweet note, with caramel, hops, and some earthiness. Through the mid-palate and the finish a distinct roasted flavor along with peet and some hops comes forward. The finish is medium-length, and just a tad strange in flavor. Overall, a solid pale ale that did not disappoint. Jblauvs (643), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Hazy orange pour with offwhite head. light grass hops in the aroma. Some fruit and significant hops in the mouth. Dark and murky. Also has some notes of fark sweet fruit. Not bad. BrotherGrendel (611), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Appearance is a murky brown orange hue, head is a huge layer of off-white creamy dense foam that sustains well, big swaths of lace on the glass.
Smell is subtle, mostly clean and crisp pale malts, very subtle caramel and citrus tones, light fruits and bread in the background.
Taste is pretty solid for a pale ale, mild mix of bread/caramel/pale malts dominate and transition to sweet breads, slight citrus and honey, finishes malty sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, clean crisp watery mouthfeel, mild carbonation.
Drinkability is high and in the session range at 6%, this is a standard craft style pale ale that is slightly sweeter than usual, surprising dearth of finishing hops, i’m rather ambivalent about this beer overall. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours a light hoppy scent, strong cloudy lacing down the glass. Smells of citrus, hops, grass. Tastes really balanced, not much malt but the hops are not too overpowering- lots of balanced fruit, nothing dark but lots of light fruit, not tropical or citrus but enough to keep my taste buds going in the summer. Very good, if you can find this somewhere I’d recommend it. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Confused a little by the name "Pale Ale" This coppery brew was a little stronger in flavor than a traditional pale ale. Flavorful but a little too bitter for what I was expecting. Visited my girlfriends dad in Mass and came across the Berkshire line of beers and was pretty impressed. Liked the 22oz bottles for the price excellent deal. beachbum25 (805), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 10, 2008 750 ML Bottle-clear copper color w/a decent off white head & good lacing. Trade w/RCL. Not normally my favorite style; found this one too hoppy w/a metalic flavor. Kind of out of balance to me. Thought I’d give it a shot as it was a trade brew, For those who like this style this would be a good choice, but it’s just not my thing. changeup45 (807), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2008 The first ot two different growlers to sample from the brewery. Pours a somewhat cloudy, brownish amber body. Nice thick off white head. Aroma is sweet with a sugary maltiness to it. A pretty nice taste. Sweet with a pretty nice hoppy characteristic with small amounts of malt too. A little sour aftertaste and there is just something missing from the mouthfeel. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable beer and I would definitely get it again.
